OpenGL setting recommendations?

Featured Replies

I just installed X-Plane and am still trying to set it up. Does anybody have some graphics card setting recommendations to get things to look good? Right now I'm using an older Nvidia 7950 GT, 512 VRAM (93.8 Forceware drivers) with a single-core Pentium 4, 3.2 Extreme processor and 2 G's RAM. One big visual problem is that the water looks weird at altitude with this black speckle mess to the wave tops, although it looks nice at ground level. The water looks really good in Pacific Fighters (also OpenGL), but I set a lot of the OpenGL parameters from within the simulation's config.ini file, so I know the card is capable. There's also some weird texture tearing occasionally on the land too. Any ideas?
