September 30, 200916 yr Dear Simmers,I hope I find you well :)Recently I formatted my Pc from Windows Xp 32bit to Windows 7 64 Bit.Fs seems to work fine however I think I have a small problem concerning the sound. On my system I have installed the Creative Xfi Fatality Pro soundcard with the latest drives (downloaded from the creative website - Also 5.1 speakers)The main problem is that whenever I start Fs ( and change the sound options to gaming mode) The main sound of fs starts coming out from the centre speaker, from the left and right speakers only the ambience ( fs passengers also AES ),the rear left and right are totally dead. Sometimes when I minimize the sim and then open it again, the sound starts coming out from the left/right / rear left & right speakers - but when I for example put down the landing gear or seatbelt signs ( PSS A320 ) no sound comes out. Seems The aircraft internal sounds are lost. When I still had XP 32bit, I could hear the sound coming from all the 4 speakers. Now when I run a check for all the speakers, they just work fine.I can hear music coming out from all of them. So I suppose that it's from the Fs itself. Could it be because I am running Windows 7 ? or I have some settings which I am missing.I hope someone could help me coz it's frustrating, knowing I can fly smoothly, but I am losing most of the fun especially when it comes to cockpit sounds. My Specs are Intel Core 2 Quad, Asus P5NT-Deluxe, BFG 8800 GTX OC 2, 4 GM RAM , 150 GB HD, Creative Sound Blaster Xfi Fatality Pro.Thanks for now Guys :)Regards,A320 Captain.

But the problem is not limited to the use of FS9. You basically don't have any sound in W7 period. Atleast that's how it is on my system. If you google it a bit, you'll find that this is due to a (very strange!) driver problem that only occurs on some Creative soundcards installed on systems with more than 2GB of RAM.I assume this is just one of those bugs you have when using a beta version (or in this case a release candidate) of software, which is not fully supported yet. I'm sure MS and Creative will have worked it out by the time (22 Oct) W7 is officialy released. To my knowledge, there currently is no solution for this problem....Hope this helps.Best regards,Frank Regards, Frank van der Werff
