Ok fumbling around on my computer I found that windows did an automatic update with Nvidia display drivers. I went to the Nvidia file and didn't see any changes and I still have 182.50 in there. I am going to reinstall the driver then reboot and see what happens.

Turn down some of your scenery sliders. I believe it might me memory related. A quick way of checking is to save your current fsx.cfg or rename it to fsx.old. Then restart FSX and let the config rebuild. You will then have default FSX settings and you can see if you can replicate the error. If not, you had your FSX settings set too high. Move them back a little until the error goes away. If you want to go back to your previous settings, then delete FSX.cfg and rename FSX.old to FSX.cfg. I seriously doubt it's an issue with the Nvidia drivers. I would install the latest and greatest for your card. I know someone else recommended going back to the 182.50 drivers in another thread about the terrain.dll errors but that didn't fix the individuals problems (or never stated it was resolved). You're just wasting valuable FS flying time by going back and forth on your display drivers.I have done some lengthy searches relating to this problem and can find NO solutions that worked with the terrain.dll error. More than likely, the individuals just reinstalled FSX and continued on with their lives. Have you added any new aircraft or scenery lately (or before you saw the error)? If so, go into your Scenery Library and disable (uncheck the scenery) the top addon. Start a flight and see if the error occurs again. If it continues, go back into the Scenery Library and disable another scenery. Do this until the problem is resolved or the offending scenery is discovered or the problem was resolved by this action. If this doesn't resolve your problem, I think you have only one option left -- completely uninstall FSX and reinstall. You can also try a repair. Not sure what all you have installed (i.e., FSX, SP1, SP2, Acceleration). If you just have FSX SP2 installed, you can do a repair of FSX but remember you'll have to reinstall SP1 and SP2. If you have FSX Acceleration, would just do a repair of Acceleration as that will reinstall SP1 and SP2. Hope this helps.Best regards,Jim Young

Ok I'll go back and check out my scenery settings. I do have terrain detail set to the highest I believe. With the drivers and nHancer I updated them to the latetest with the same effect.I'll try to change the complexity and see what happens.Edit: I forgot where the FSX.cfg is located.

It's in a hidden folder. For Vista: Your user name/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/FSX.Best regards,Jim Young

Ok I renamed the fsx.cfg and that seems to work with one problem. All my traffic is gone.

Ok so far I've tried moving the traffic files out and starting it up so it could reindex and then put them back in and have it reindex again. It loaded the new scenery it said but nothing showed up. I tried puting the old fsx.cfg file in and that crashed it again. So something must be wrong with the fsx.cfg I just want to get it working with this new one. :(

Okay, it appears MyTrafficX was not installed properly. In any case, you need to add the following line under the Main section in the FSX.cfg:SimObjectPaths.6=MyTraffic\AircraftNone of your AI traffic will show without that line in the FSX.cfg. If adding the above line does not fix the problem, I would completely uninstall MyTraffic, make sure all MyTraffic directories are gone after the uninstall (you might even run a registry cleaner), then reinstall. Ok this is just getting bad. I uninstalled and deleted everything that had to do with FSX. I did a complete reinstall per Nick's guide. Tried reinstalling traffic but still nothing appears. What could possibly be going wrong?

I think the problem might lie somewhere in my AI aircraft. After I figured out what the AI entry I needed in the FSX.cfg I now get it to load AI traffic but when I go to Seattle for some reason it crashes.I have found out that it is my United Express file that needs some fixing!
