October 18, 200916 yr Hey everyone,I bought myself X-plane 9 a while ago and only tried it once. I was very unimpressed with it because i was completely lost in the interface system (menus, control keys, etc) and i couldnt even get the plane to takeoff. So i gave up. However i kept watching the xplane videos on youtube and it kept growing on me that i should try it again. I must confessed that there were 2 things that really amazed me. Those were the terrain and high fps. Believe me, xplane terrain is way better than fs2004 even with gepro imho as i am an FS2004 user for quite a while now and over the years i have accumulated some addons for it. Now i want to give xplane another try but one thing i am scared of is that i will get lost again. So, i am asking for any advices that would help me understand it and any details on how to get those:Ai traffic (if not, is there a way to convert ai traffic for fs2004 to be displayed as static in xplane)How to convert fs2004 addons scenery( mostly airports) to xplane???How to get good airliners boeings primarily??? Thanks a lot. From someone who wants to switch but dont know where to start.

I will have a look at those links. I think it will take me sometime to learn everything about xplane as it is very different from Microsoft Flight sim. I want to do world tour in xplane but i think first i will need to learn the inside and out of the software. I loaded it again today, location Cape town South africa, and gosh, i love the mountains scenery. However i kept on crashing as i'm only loading the plane at say 10000ft and freefall. That's all i can do so far but will get there slowly to do a proper a takeoff, cruise and land. Thnaks again
