Twice now I have tried to install Sturm_450 only to end up with no sound. I have not seen anything in the instructions about sound modifications. Anybody know why I'm getting this result?

Take a look at the sound folder. I think the sounds were aliased to one of Bill Lyons payware planes (Waco?). If you don't have that plane, you won't hear any sounds. Change the alias in the sound.cfg, or simply copy some other sounds over to the sound directory.VOlker :]

Thank you for the reply. I do have the Waco so that wasn't the answer. I took your other suggestion and tried a new sound file. That did the trick! Again, thanks!
