In XP I could set up all speech to be directed to my USB headset. How can I do this in Win 7? I still want all other sounds to go through my speakers.In FSX I can set this up as always, but Win 7 is more tricky :(

In Win 7, right click on the speaker icon in the notification area, select Playback Devices, and then right click on your USB headset and select it as the Default Communications Device, and select the regular sound card as the Default Device. Do the same thing on the Recording Tab. For apps that inquire of the OS, they will pick this up. For FSX, you will probably still need to use the combo boxes provided on the Sound Settings dialog box.Tim
