July 2, 200322 yr I am looking for a really good flight planning software. Which would you recommend, (I understand that there are several other components that each planner has, the FMC, weather, etc. I am not interested in any of that, I plan to purely use the flight planning component) The main differences that I can see so far on the flight planning side are that FS Nav has a complete SID/STARS database and Flight Sim Commander doesn't. It also seems that Flight Sim Commander has a database with airports diagrams and maps, while FS Nav doesn't have that. Thanks for your help!!!!!!!!!!
July 2, 200322 yr Hi Rich,is appeared on several FS2004 pages that their new sim has a complete SID/STAR database available for the new default GPS, and I've seen a screenshot of the new MAP mode with added information as found on a sectional. Would it be the solution you are looking after?Hope this helps!
July 2, 200322 yr Author I personally don't think your search would be complete unless you consider FSBUILD 2.0http://www.fsbuild.com/If you are looking for a standalone flight planner .... this is it, built on the monthly AIRAC cycles with a huge amount of SID/STARS ...Give it a look, you'll be glad you did.
