Real World Refueling

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me if the JS4100 is fueled via single point or over wing? Just curious. Thanks in advance.Bob Garber

Hi Bob,The J41 is normally fueled via the single-point pressure refueling panel under the right wing. The system is actually quite advanced for a turboprop, and features fully automatic operation of the fuel distribution and fill valves. You only need to perform the BIT test, input the desired total quantity and squeeze the deadman. If the SPR system was inop, then it's also possible to refuel via overwing ports just like the J31. Fuel Quantity is slightly reduced this way, but I can't remember off the top of my head how much, perhaps 100lb or so.

dont forget your precheck when fueling single point :D
