I am working in a scenery photo-realistic and is a hard work for a small part of the world. I believe that the future of the simulation is googleearth like scenery in Fly. And as this is a Freeware Open Source project, would be willing to bet that one of the ROTW guys has been looking into this for scenery generation purposes. So porting it over to work with Fly! Legacy is a very possible idea down the road. Our main problem would be in the "Mesh" or DEM files in order to bring the sim up to par for elevation modeling. We would require a lot of data conversions for SRTM resamples to get it closer to real world elevation status. But! As Rich was always pointing oout, virtually anything can be done within the Fly! simulator!
