FSX Sliders and AFCADS

Featured Replies

A popular AFCAD creator and I have recently discovered and pinned down an anomoly in FSX between AFCADS and the way FSX scenery sliders are set. AFCAD building additions, such as for terminal extensions, fail to appear if the global scenery sliders reflect a "custom" setting rather than at one of FSX's predetermined global slider settings like Medium Low, Medium High, etc. I, personally, prefer to have an overall high setting, but to turn autogen and traffic down or completely off, which then changes the global setting to "custom" and results in whatever building additions the AFCAD designer has created to disappear, leaving jetways to float above the apron in thin air!Is there anyone out there who can solve this problem and have the AFCAD buildings appear under "custom" slider conditions? Thanks,Zach

What do you mean by AFCAD building additions? What program was used? AFCAD was a very capable freeware program for modifying airports in FS9, and I don't remember it being used to add buildings. ADE has been developed to accomplish the same thing in FSX and includes the ability to delete, move and add buildings. My scenery Global Setting is "custom" and I have not experienced any missing buildings.

Ray Smith's latest AFCAD's ADE v1.45.He creates building additions that weren't there originally, for example at Denver, using the FSX objects library, added a west end extension at Concourse B and added buildings for the UALX finger gates on the east end. Get me?
