December 6, 200916 yr After a while trying, tweeking, complaining, moaning, more tweeking,.................I finally found the post which solved all my problems (thanks to Jim ---- THANK YOU JIM).By changing the Cloud Coverage Density from 8 to 12 in FS9.cfg I have finally achieved OVERCASTIts just a pity that it isn't widely publicised.Maybe you could put it in the FAQ for ASA or in the manual Jim.Thanks again,a happy :-) :( Neil
December 6, 200916 yr Hi,I am not sure of the config values between 8 and 12, but we have always suggested that cloud coverage in FS be set to maximum! I am not sure if this gives a value of 8 or 12 in the file. I guess I could look at my config and see! If 12 is outside of the range of the FS9.cfg file, please be aware that the value will be changed back every time you close FS04, so you would need to change it each time before starting FS.It has been listed in every product manual as long as I can remember, but I do know what post you are referring to!!Happy OVC,
December 7, 200916 yr Author Hi Jim/Guys,The value defaults back to 8, but only if you access the display settings menu within FS9.This also effects some other values (can't remember what they are off the to of my head). The moral of the story is, always back up your FS9.cfg.Whenever you go to change something WITHIN FS (ie using the Display settings menu) be aware that it will overwrite other settings back to default. It has made a huge difference to my cloud coverage (unless of course it is all in my imagination ).Neil
