December 10, 200916 yr So,I have problems even during installation. Instead of normal, legible text, I get stuff like IDS_WELCOME and IDS_CONTINSTALL. I go ahead with the install. After installation, I validate and while it tries the default new scenery, finishing installation stuff, it works slowly. Then I get the "Microsoft Flight Simulator Has Encountered A Problem Message", and it closes. I tried installing both SPs, and it still crashes. What do I do so I can ditch FS9?System Specs:Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 (2.4 GHz)2GB DDR2 RAMNvidia GeForce 9600 GTWindows Vista Home Premium 32-BitThanks
December 12, 200916 yr BumpI am trying one more thing, doing a 3x pass of the registry for FSX keys and deleting them, and then trying an install. If this doesn't work, I have a backup ready to go for a new Vista install.
December 12, 200916 yr Ok, I'm still looking at a crash with SP1 & SP2 installed, I get a little further by running as an admin but.......Is there a way I can track this crash and show you anything before I run a wipe?
