ASV 6.5 "weather-influenced" Setting

Featured Replies

Hello.I'm hoping you can answer a quick question for me regarinding the "weather-influenced" setting in the Active Sky Graphics options for ASV 6.5.I had to reinstalled ASV recently due to an entire system redo and now I cannot get the Active Sky Graphics options to remain at the "weather-influenced" setting.Previously I could open up the ASG section and all of the options would be set to "weather-influenced". That's how I had them set. However, now even after submitting the option to FS and clicking close, if I go back to ASG the options do not hold that setting. Can you tell me what I might be missing here? Thanks!

Hi,In the Active Sky options you need to chose Wx Influenced in the Full Sky Theme box. Thanks,

I'm assuming you're talking about the area in the attached pic. If so, I have done that. After doing so I can reopen ASG and scroll through the different categores and they still show a specific setting. Like 3D clouds show as the Cloud 9 option, Cirrus Clouds show as the Cirrius option, etc. None of them say weather-infulenced like they did before.

Hi,No, in Active Sky itself, on the Options screen, under Graphics. Thanks,

So it should look like this?If so, how does that explain why I'm not seeing the "weather-influenced" option appear automatically any more for all of the individual settings in the ActiveSky Graphics options? For example, when I click the ActiveSky Graphics button in ASV the first screen that shows up is this other example. Previously I could open that up and it would say "weather-influenced".

Hi,That is correct. Now, close ASG and use AS, not ASG, to submit some textures to FS. Then open ASG and see what you see. Thanks,

What do you mean submit some textures? I didn't have to do that before. Before the reinstall, and once everything was setup to automatically submit the proper weather related cloud, sky, etc. info all I had to do was launch ActiveSky and download the current weather. After that the proper textures would automatically be sent to FS depending on the weather.

Hi,And that is still the case.I feel you are making this harder than it has to be, OR I am misunderstanding you.Big%20Grin.gifI understood that when you open ASG, you want to see the word Wx Influenced shown on your ASG screen. I said to myself: "Why is he opening ASG when he has AS auto-submitting textures?"So to get the words "Wx Influenced" on your ASG screen I suggested that you submit a set of textures through AS just as you always have. What this does is set ASG to Wx Influenced on the screens. So before your re-install were you opening ASG a lot? Thanks!!

No, I wasn't opening ASG at all really. I assumed it was doing what I wanted it to do which was getting its info from ActiveSky and submiting the proper textures each time. But, I guess I really don't know for sure.I'll believe what you tell me. I guess I just need to know the correct options to choose, and where to choose them, to have the correct textures submitted depending on whatever the weather happens to be.

Hi,From your screen shot a few posts ago, everything looks fine! Thanks,
