July 16, 200322 yr In attempting to install new scenery,I have made an error and have "lost" my TEXTURE file.It does not appear.Error message: "Scenery read error!.Attempting to open a nonexistent directory. c/program files/microsoft games/fs2002/textures."Is it possible install FS2002 under another "name"and copy the new TEXTURE file to my corrupted copy to replace it?I have deleted the scenery from my scenery c.f.g.file.Rodger.
July 16, 200322 yr Hi Icaris,I think the error may be in a .bgl file in the add-on scenery. The folder it is trying to open is named 'textures', while the default texture folder is called 'texture'. Does the problem persist, after you deleted the scenery.cfg entry? If it doesn't, there is nothing wrong with your FS install (Another way to check, would be simply to look if the main FS 'texture' directory is still in place). July 16, 200322 yr Gosta,Many thanks for your reply.I copied several .bgl files to the FS Texture directory. In my PANIC,I forgot about System Restore and have now cured the problem. My main FS TEXTURE directory had disappeared.Regards,Rodger.
