REX Random Themes...

Featured Replies

morning all,I just wanted to check my understanding of the procedure on the way REX and AS6.5 work together. I use AS6.5 for the weather generation and REX for the textures. what I do right now is start REX and load my textures, I always use "Random Theme", once REX is done loading I shut it down and start up FS9 and then start AS6.5. What I am not sure about is whether I will always get weather appropriate textures using this method. In other words does the random theme send enough kids of clouds and water colours to depict calm weather and a storm. thanks for any help!!!

Hi,No, doing things that way is just getting you random textures, just as the feature states. There is another option in REX for submitting "weather influenced" textures in REX. The you would close REX down, start AS, and then run FS04. You always run FS04 last. Thanks,

Thanks for the response Jim, I have seen the WX influenced theme selector but I haven't used it because I was under the impression that I would have to start FS through REX to use that feature. I use FS Autostart so I don't want to start FS in REX. Thansk again.
