December 20, 200916 yr Hi,I have a laptop with a GT130M graphics card onboard. I've installed the NVidia drivers 195.62 under Win7 64 Home premium. I'm running FS9 and I have the frame rate locked at 35. What I'm experiencing is a lot of fluctuating frame rates. FS9 runs at 35 frame rates and then it suddenly drops to below 10, after a short while (anything from 5 to 10 seconds) it will pop up again to the upper 20's and then go back up to 35 frame rates.I've tried to play around with the TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT and TextureMaxLoad settings in FS9.cfg. This does influence the fluctuations somewhat, but doesn't make them go away completely. I tried with TEXT_BANDWIDTH_MULT setting at 400 and 600 and TextureMaxLoad at 10.Can anyone tell me what are the maximums for both these settings? Is there anything else I can try?Regards,DaveAntwerp, Belgium DaveLaptop: MSI GT62VR 7RE Dominator Pro i7-7700HQ 2.8 (3.54 turbo) Ghz with 2 external monitors, 32GB DDR4 RAM@1200Mhz, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB, Windows 10 Home (v 1909). December 24, 200916 yr Author Hi,Just to let you all know that I found the solution to my fluctuating frame rates! It was due to the configured energy savings scheme on my laptop. I changed this to the highest performance setting and now I have my FS9 frame rate locked at 25 with all the display sliders maxed out. Activesky (running on another network PC) is also configured to display maximum quality. The frame rates are great. They stay at 25 most of the time, only on occaision (when flying into thick clouds) does it drop to the mid teens. So if any of you are running W7-64 (RTM) with FS9 and experiencing fluctuating frame rates, especially on laptops, check you energy savings settings.RegardsDaveAntwerp, Belgium DaveLaptop: MSI GT62VR 7RE Dominator Pro i7-7700HQ 2.8 (3.54 turbo) Ghz with 2 external monitors, 32GB DDR4 RAM@1200Mhz, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB, Windows 10 Home (v 1909).
