Let's try again...The Jetstream was working perfectly (well, it did CTD a few times at first) before I added SP1. Now, whenever I attempt to select it the screen goes black but the mouse pointer remains. Nothing else will happen and I'm forced to CTRL-ALT-DELETE out of FSX. Searching here I haven't found any solutions...BTW, I'm running FSX on a new iMac with Vista Business under Bootcamp.Update: After the black screen, I can hit ESC, then Return and 1 in 3 times the plane will load fine. 2 out of 3 times it's another CTDJason Dunn

It is a bit weird having to sign a post...most people will just use an alias anyway. Anywho, I uninstalled SP1 and the plane loads fine. Now, every time I program the FMS I get a CTD. Frustrating. Let me go search on the forum so I don't waste anyone's time. JASON DUNN

Hi Jason, for the record my comments were not directed at you personally. Your post was more of a case study.If you do a search you will see several instances of various crashes. Several cured by installing or reinstalling FSX SP1 and SP2 and or Acceleration. Then removing and reinstalling the J41

Gary I understand what your saying but at the same time he offered no support what so ever. And yes it get old reminding people to sign their posts but since most forums dont have you sign your posts with your name the newer members may not understand why it is that its required. I guess the best way to put it is like Robert posted back in oct. in his thread http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=264955 . As far as bootleggers I would think that the only way to really stop the support for them or even letting them seeing whats going on in the forums is to run it like the leveld. Where I think you have to have your order number or serial number to get into the support forum. Its been so long since I signed up over there I cant recall what had to happen to get in over there.
