I have been reinstalling FSX plus scenery and aircraft when today I opened up and found that thesmall screen showing the current aircraft was totally black. I tried a "Fly Now" and got a full screen totally Blacked outbut with aircraft engine sound.Probably something I`ve added on or possibly removed but before I run an Installation Repair I would appreciateit if anyone has any cure ideas??Incidentally after running a repair, I assume I would have to reinstall FSX Pack 1 and FSX Acceleration??Many thanksGeorge

Hi George,I have a similar issue with add-ons that have complex scenery such as the FSDT KORD, it happened just a moment ago, although my rig is overclocked which may be a part of the problem.Regarding the quoted text above, from someone that has just done this, I un-installed SP2 then SP1, then did the repair, then reinstalled the SP's, plus some add-on textures had been restored to default too such as REX. I note you have Acceleration, I think you substitute SP2 for that.Bruce.
