hello,I might start flying in vatsim but have a few questions about it. First question is, do i need the latest AIRAC cycle to fly vatsim? since you have to pay for the cycles now i can't get the latest and i don't want to pay for them. Would this matter in Vatsim since AIRAC updates waypoints in FSX.Second question, i have the PMDG 747 for fsx if a friend of mine had PMDG 747 for fsx aswell would we be able to share the plane and fly on vatsim or is this impossible since it is a add-on aircraft. Also would people on Vatsim who do not have the PMDG 747 will be able too see the aircraft i fly?I know these questions should really be on the vatsim wesbite i just want too see what people say on avsim first.

an AIRAC update does not change FSX waypoint database. an AIRAC update changes the data used by the addon's FMS/FMC/FMGC.

depends how you are connecting to VATSIM. the models shown depend on the connection method. specifics on this are available on VATSIM's forums and the manuals for the connection software you choose to use.--
