Windows 7 Upgrade results

Featured Replies

I have upgraded my i7 920 to Windows 7 OS. I must say I have pleased with the results in running FSX. I have been able to move the slide further to the right and still see a frame rate increase. I have been in the process of adding all my FSX software and keep waiting for the stuttering or frame rate loss, none yet that I have found. Everything is looking very stable at this point.

Oh, by the way. I upgraded from Vista 32 bit to Windows 7 64 bit. Clean install.

after a long time i've installed fsx again today on win7 64bit RC (so not the final).i must say that FSX runs from scratch! much faster, less hangs or stuttering than i remember with my XP/Vista 64bit.though i have to install the SPs yet and then i might have even better results. but even without them it even runs faster than on any vista i've ever ran FSX on.for reference i use fraps and this introduction flight demo for measuring most of the FSX settings.
