Good 777 panel to go with Meljet V2

Featured Replies

First this plane is beautiful, and I am not much of an airliner guy, mainly GA. But besides that, I am looking for a really nice panel to use with this plane.Anyone have suggestions?

HiDefinately the PSS 777 panel - but as you know that is payware!I'll have a look round for a good 777 freeware one and post here, as I don't actually know one myselfTim :)

Ah yes I forgot about PSS! Although at this time I would prefer a freeware panel. I am still looking myself. Thanks Tim!!

JasonThe freeware 777 panels I use are by:Yannick LavigneGary Hayes (based on Yannick's panel bitmap)Gennaro MaddaloniJohan PeetersJorge 'eko' Salas (two- one with Top Avionics gauges)Tony D'Ambrosio (with Top Avionics)Tony SmithThomas "Gambler" WicklerJohn Rushby-SmithHope this gives you something to search for. No FMC like PSS, of course, but you pays yer munny and takes yer choice. All the above are freeware and some are lovely.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg

They vary, Jason, but the hunt will keep you busy. For the most part, I use Avsim, Flightsim and Simviation; but one or two may have come from elsewhere. Good luck!Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg

Dark moment,I know it might be difficult, but do you think you could tell me what the best couple are. I only have dial-up, so don' want to spend ages searching and downloading! Thanks.Regards,Bob

A matter of preference, really, Bob; personally, I like the look of the Hayes/Lavigne panels but Salas' panels are great and very workable and all I mention above function well enough. You'll usually find a screenie with most downloads by which to judge the "look" of a panel for yourself before downloading, but none of these will take you an age to get hold of, in any case. If you plan for flights for real, of course, you'll need the PSS panel for the FMC. But the advantage of Tony D'Ambrosio's Top Avionics stuff, I should point out, is that once registered you can use his gauges in any panel you like; I have modified a number of my panels to include his HSI with real time tracking etc.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg

I must be out of sync with the rest of the community. I could not care less about simulated cabins, video systems, lavatories and first class sleeper seats. I wish the developers had spent that time making a first rate panel to go with this truly wonderful model. Beautiful plane. Colin
