Slow Network Connection

Hi there,I just got done reinstalling mt system after a fatal HD crash. I have two pc's networked but for some reason the connection appears extremely slow. I'm not a networking wizard, so please excuse my ignorance, but I know before the crash it worked way better with the same hardware. E.g. by slow I mean, when I use the server to access a file downloaded on the client, it takes about 30 seconds until I can unzip that file.Another example would be an extreme delay in radar contact's instructions, resulting in a not so nice lecture by JD ;-)I used the wizard for establishing the network on both WinXP (sp3) machines. Could a kind person point me in the right direction as to where to look for a possible config error or bottleneck?I wasn't sure if this should go on the hardware forum.Cheers,Pete
