Featured Replies

Just wondering if my new system I ordered will run FS2004 well, I really don't know much about computers and hope I got my moneys worth. Any input would be great!Dell Pentium 4 2.6 Ghz 800mhz fsb with H/T technology80 Gig ATA/100 Ultra HD512 MB DDR 400mhz ramGeforce FX 128 mb graphics cardSoundblaster live 5.1 digital19 inch monitorDon't really know the rest of the details... But do you think I should be able to run FS2002 and FS2004 prett well on full settings? Thanks for any input. L-19 Birddog Pilot

Uh, i run FS2k2 well with full settings and look at my specs below. You are gonna run it very very very extremly well! loloh god... my old rig is... wearing down...PS: What FX are you running (5200, 5600, 5900, etc)

Actually your computer is a piece of crap. Don't you know there is a 3.2 Ghz out AND a 256 MB video card. lol

yup its junk :( better semd it to me and then get youtself a top of line comp lol jk

Well, I guess your right... Pretty slow system. I would've gone with the 3 ghz but I was on a $$$ budget (if you know how that goes) I had the choice of a couple different graphics cards, just wondering how everyone likes the Geforce FX 5200 128 mb card? I haven't heard much about it. Is it a good card? Thanks all. Birddog Pilot

Don't listen to prattman - My system is alot slower than urs, yours is a monster

HI,If you don't want that system, I will be happy to take it off your hands to save you the space at home---AND pay shipping chargers. :-lolAnother old Birddog pilot here--got my AA wings in 1959 after finishing initial entry FW training at Rucker. Flew mostly choppers though from 1964 on--but did get about 50 hours in the Birddog (and it is STILL an L-19 to me, NOT an O-1 :-) ) in SE Asia. When did you go through??Don't know about the FX card. I am still running a PIII 933 with Geforce 2 GTS 64mb, 512 mb ram, Win98se and FS2002--runs just fine, and I am figuring FS2004 will also run well. Might have to upgrade the video card though, but we will see.Paul

Don't let anyone talk trash about your computer. You have a pretty good system. It will run pretty well. You may not be able to max out the sliders, but you should be close. Just make sure you are able to upgrade later if you want to. Have fun with you new toy....

Your system is great; except for that video card. It's really bad, bad, bad. See if you can get something else. Your system will run as fast as its slowest component. Here's a discussion about the 5200. It basically replaces the MX card. http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php...readid=33696142

Sorry, had a senior moment :-)I meant to say I got my wings in 1960. STARTED IE training in 1959. Anyway, at my age, a year that far back makes little difference. Can hardly remember it. :-lolPaul
