Is there an easy way to add the GPS window to an aircraft panel? I would like to add one for the Stearman as it's Nav radio is useless since the radio's OBS mode doesn't work..... Robert W

Hello Robert,I don't know if there is any 'easy' way to install the GPS but I do think that it can be done. I say this bearing in mind that I have not attempted this particular mod, but I have added functions from other acft into the Hawker and F-16 so what I say next is based on my experience with those acft. In addition to installing the artwork for the GPS panel into the Stearman panel in the engine-off condition you will have to add to the .pnl file the power-on display which I believe will give live information. However, to do this you will also have to make additions to the .amp file to provide power and connection to the necessary nav information. I suggest that you use the GPS information in the files for the Sahara or Flyhawk, whichever happens to be closest in format to the Stearman files, as a 'copy-from' model for the needed additions to the Stearman.podThis sounds like a great modification. Good luck,Brian.

G'day Robert,It's been zonks since I last did any work on an aircraft for Fly! II but I can remember adding a GPS to the Otter for a forum member. It wasn't too difficult. From memory it was only about three files that needed modifying. I'll see if I can chase up the mod I did and I'll get back to you.
