Just got my VR m-panel tonight from FS pilotshop. Aside from the fact the box had been previously been opened then setting it up numerous times it never lit up and it shuts down the power to my entire USB bus the minute I plug it in, all my other USB controllers shut down, no power to them and they are no longer seen by my computer, reboot and all is restored but the m-panel. Im really ticked ,sad and bummed. I sent an email to get an RMA hopefully I will hear from them ASAP. Anyone have experience/opinions on this product and especially this vendor? I not sure if I request a refund and buy elsewhere or maybe not at all. Dang it all my PFC mooney yoke gets here friday and I was hoping to have all my stuff setup. BTW this was shipped in its retail box scotch taped closed not even a shipping box with some form of packing, not impressed at all!

Mark,Just for your information.I got Multi-Panel from MYPILOTSTORE.COM (different place?) in October, 2009 then Radio Panel in November. Both were packaged ok and both work just fine.Let me know what happens.Abe

Nah mine was from Fspilotshop.com waiting for a response from them for an RMA and Im also waiting to hear from VR tech support to make sure Im not doing something wrong. I spoke with Fspilotshop on the phone and they seem very obliging so far. Ive been building computers for over twnety years now I dont think Im missing anything in the setup. I find it pretty telling when you plug in any USB device and it kills the power to that entire buss. That would surely indicate theres a short of some nature in my paper weight....errrrrr M-panel. Im done experimenting though last thing I want to do is fry a perfectly good motherboard. Ill let you know how it shakes out. On the bright side my PFC Mooney yoke arrives Friday.....bye bye saitek sticky yoke :(

Well VRinsight sales manager replied the morning confirming the unit is defective. Contacted FSpilotshop and they will be sending a new unit with a shipping label for the paper weight. So if all goes as planned Ill be happy. Very impressed with VR and their quick communication, FSpilotshop while they are doing the right thing (kind of have to now) their communications regarding problems and shippng status as well a not packing an electronic part in a shipping box, just slap a ship label on the retail box and of you go is sorely lacking. Not the end of the world.......
