January 28, 201016 yr Hi ChumsJust bought a new pc with windows 7 with a big LCD screen, but the ground and a 2inch strip above glare screen dither terribly when flying my PMDG MD11. My old laptop was great but this is awful any suggestions I tried the bi tri anti anilising thingy. When I fly the MS 737 it is fine. Thanks
January 28, 201016 yr Hi Stephen, Please sign your full name to posts per forum rules, thanks (or add it to your sig). What is the resolution your running it at? Also, what is the make & model number of your monitor? (ie. Asus VW266H)It should be fine if running at your monitors native resolution (max), but may have these problems you describe on some wide screens.Lastly, is it just the furthest most edge of the top of the screen? i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
January 31, 201016 yr Hi DanI think it is 1920x1080, lol I'm not very techy as you can gather.llyama Prolite E2407HDSD is the screen. The problem seems to be across the middle of the screen, I wondered if it was a pmdg thing with Windows 7 as the bog standard MS 737 is fine on this new screen, but would prefer to fly my MD11.My old laptop was on Vista and pmdg md11 was fine on that.Any advice much appreciatedStephen Eccles
February 2, 201016 yr Hi Stephen,Sorry for the late reply, I'm not sure what the problem is. The resolution you mentioned is that monitors max (or native) resolution which is fine. You might just be having a video card issue, driver related or maybe can fix it with nHancer. Have you checked for updated video drivers? Even a new computer probably has new drivers available. I know there isn't a specific pmdg thing with Windows 7 as you mentioned since a lot of members of this forum have made the Win7 switch and never heard anyone else with this issue. The only other thing I can think of is the wide panels in that resolution 1920x1080. I just returned 3 monitors that ran that res, nothing wrong with the monitors, but prefer the 16:10 versus the 16:9 personally. Also, that is a common resolution now and am sure I would have read other posts with any issues. If you haven't already done so, download and install nHancer (if you have a nVidia card that is) and follow the nhancer setup tweaks mentioned here. If you're not sure how to check what video card you have, let me know your make and model computer and I'll check it out. i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
