January 29, 201016 yr Had FSX installed with Vista. Haven't used for a while. Just recently installed Win7 & everything working fine. Re-installed FSX Deluxe..I have removed and re-installed the X-52 driversI have removed and re-installed the FSUICP4I have removed and re-installed SP1 & SP2I have not un-installed & re-installed FSX as yet but unless someone has an idea I guess that is the only thing left to tryWould sure appreciate any ideas about what might be going on. Haven't flown for a while and would like to get going. Thanks for any help you can give.CV21
January 30, 201016 yr Hi,So what is the exact issue you are having? You list a lot of steps, but never state what exactly is going on!

When the sim starts all aircraft open with the throttle already at 1/3. My X-52 throttle is closed. When I advance this throttle the sim aircraft throttle goes to approximately 2/3rds. and no further. I can work the sim aircraft throttles with the mouse through the full range, however if I advance the sim aircraft throttle with the mouse to full throttle, within a minute or less the throttle will automatically drop back to approximately the 2/3rds position.I've disconected the X-52 and the problem is still there so it is apparently something within FSX itself.System is a HP AMD 64 x 2 Dual CoreProcessor 4400+ 2.3GHz /32 bit OS4Gigs of RamGTX 8600/512
January 30, 201016 yr Connect again, then calibrate through the Windows Control Panel. Then start FSX and see what happens.
January 30, 201016 yr Connect again, then calibrate through the Windows Control Panel. Then start FSX and see what happens.OK tried that. No joy. It may have moved the throttle position slightly. On the Baron, when the sim starts the throttles are both on the halfway position. The joystick throttle will only move them about 1/2 inch or to the 2/3rds position. When I restarted the sim, when the aircraft came up the engine WAS idling but advancing the joystick throttle to full, still gave only about 2/3rds power. I've tried 3 resets through the control panel and restarted the sim, but I still have the problem. You're not too far away. I'm up by Lansing

A couple of other points:If you use the SST software make sure the assignments in it are exactly the same as those that are in FSX.In FSX make sure you have NO duplicate assigments - FSX will reassign axes if it thinks things have changed. For ALL axes set the null zone full left and the sensitivity full right and then calibrate via FSX.The X52 should work seamlessly in FSX.Are you using FSUIPC4?RegardsPeterH

At this point I have the SST software installed but have not programmed it yet. Been assigning the buttons directly on the stick from the program. Have always used the X-52 both ways in the past and have never had any trouble. Will try your suggestions in the morning. Right now I'm getting crosseyed from looking at this problem. Thanks for your suggestions. I'll try again tomorrow.

In checking joystick calibration I found that by reducing throttle sensitivity to maximum and null space to zero solved the problem. I don't understand why it is that way, because when I used the X-52 before the throttle always worked fine, Just a question of how sensitive or how much null zone you wanted.I thank all of you for your responses and happy flying.CV21EUREKA!!!!!
