January 30, 201016 yr Hey guys! I've installed Vista 64bit so i could reap the benefits of higher ram. A strange thing happens with the MD-11, when the plane is on the ground the flight controls are smooth, but when the plane lifts off in the air, they become unstable. Can anyone help me out on this? I also saw another member with relatively the same problem as mine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcQkrzLXvD0
January 31, 201016 yr Well, let's start simple:You are using a MOUSE to fly? :(Anyways, it may just be the system *working it's magic* -- I personally lower the yoke so I don't see it and haven't really ever noticed it. If it doesn't affect your flight performance, then it may just be the luck of the draw with how that specific system was modeled with the damper system active. January 31, 201016 yr Author Yea the mouse isn't the best thing to use but i've used it before and until i get a joystick its what ill be using. To see if the mouse was the problem i installed the logitech momo wheel, and it did the exact same thing. The strange thing is that iv used the mouse as a yoke before and it seemed fine. Other airplanes such as the default aircraft, or some Carenado aircraft work fine. Would a reinstall of the MD-11 fix this or is this how it will always be? Its kind of hard to get plane to react to the inputs so sometimes i have to use "Excess" inputs so that the nose lowers or the plane turns. Andi
January 31, 201016 yr Author Iv been experimenting a bit, and disabling the RCWS on the pmdg menu in fsx fixes the aileron stutter, but the elevator stutter is still there, unless of course i disable the LSAS. Btw what is the RCWS responsible for? Ill be experimenting with the FSUIPC to try and sort this out. It seems that this "stutter" only happens near the centre of the controls.
February 1, 201016 yr Author Well tested an did everything. The RCWS disabled made the ailerons stable, so no twitching, and the elevator still twitches, nothing i could do in FSUIPC. I tried it with a joystick still the same thing so i guess its how LSAS was implemented on my system. Also reinstalling it didn't work. :S
