  1. All that can be done is tighter security measures. Sadly that is very hard and expensive to achieve.
  2. But it's only stealing for 3 days, so it's validated! (kidding of course)
  3. I actually have ENB installed, I just need to find better settings!
  4. http://www.deltava.org/thread.do?id=0x16edaI'd like to see that guy get realism like that and still have a flight smooth as silk :)
  5. So let me get this straight. You want PMDG to fix something you haven't personally experienced? That's a good one.CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING:FRAPS can cut your FPS up to, but not limited to, HALF of your average FPS when recording.Maybe the videos you have watched the computers have been absolutely terrible, configured poorly, and fraps recording the video? You can resolve this by two methods. 1) Remove the idiot that purchased and configured the computer and 2) don't use fraps to benchmark or reference your setup.
  6. So does this mean government funding for PMDG?!?!?! Even better products!!! lol kidding. Best of luck Robert
  7. You are trying to tell me they changed it because of Taxiway TANGO? No lol. They changed the name 16R/34L because a 3rd runway was added -- therefore the change was required -- 16L/16C/16R 34L/34C/34R
  8. So I was getting Out of Memory errors with the Queen and Vista 32bit, so I downgraded to XP32bit (well really, it's an upgrade!) to see if it fixes the issue. I do not get "Your System is Out of Memory" errors anymore, however I get this issue with the Queen's textures.I load into KSEA Gate S16 with the queen, load cold and dark cockpit settings, then start up FSINN. There is not an airplane in site. I start setting up my FMC and load manager, get her ready, and then start to push back. At this point I had only switched to the Outside view once. I have this issue where I go to an outside view, and for a few seconds I see a "Skeleton" of sorts of the plane -- the seats, just no outer shell and my BAW textures. I wait a few seconds, and all is good.I call for clearance, and start my pushback. I get off the blocks, and then switch to an external view. My winds and engines are gray, and I have this "Skeleton" issue again -- however it will NOT go away.At this point, my Textures will not fix -- so I exit FSX and start over again -- loe and behold, my background picture has magically vanished to a default BLUE background. Now I restart my computer, boot her up and try again. Same issue -- every time.I do NOT get this issue with the PMDG MD-11, and have always had issues with the Queen (usually minor, consisting of flying into FSDT JFK at night in the queen).I have the latest drivers, everything is up to date -- I even re-installed the NVIDIA XP Drivers for my GTS 1GB edition 250 OC just to verify. Is there something I am missing that needs to be fixed? I also run NHANCER, and on the computer I mostly run FSX, ACARS, and FSINN. Nothing else was up and running when I got this issue.Any and all help is appreciated :)EDIT: To whomever moved this -- it IS a 747-8I issue, sorry if I didn't specify --- THIS HAPPENS WITH THE 747-8I
  9. So I depart, panel works fine. After a while, the entire panel stops working. Speed tape/directions, everything locks up. Only way I can fix it is by a restart of FSX -- and then it just does it again after a few minutes.I have done every possible fix -- including those on simforums for OOM with Vista 32 bit. I cannot get it fixed. Is there a magic fix I am missing? I only get this with the 747-400X, 747-8I. The MD-11 works fine, as well as other airplanes like the LDS767.
  10. Well, let's start simple:You are using a MOUSE to fly? :(Anyways, it may just be the system *working it's magic* -- I personally lower the yoke so I don't see it and haven't really ever noticed it. If it doesn't affect your flight performance, then it may just be the luck of the draw with how that specific system was modeled with the damper system active.
  11. FDS was actually contacted by Boeing and signed a NDA. Boeing gave them all of the relevant information, and they built the dreamliner's cockpit based on that. They didn't release photos until after the NDA was no longer valid (When she took to the skies).
  12. I recently got a quote from Project Magenta. Total cost for a full Boeing package is about $800 USD. And that's just for the software hah.
  13. Software related for the hardware to work you'd need something like Project Magenta, or have PMDG create something more malleable. The PMDG setup isn't too friendly with home cockpit builders in terms of just plugging in all the hardware and going -- you need something more advanced like PM to do it for you.The hardware itself is a mockup of the real deal -- it's as close as you can get without it actually being the real thing. They try to keep materials similar, but in the end you are plugging it in via a USB or some other cable into your physical PC. An aircraft setup is clearly more advanced as to wiring and how ti all plugs in and works with the systems on board.http://www.flightdecksolutions.com/forum/v...opic.php?t=4104 -- is this the mockup you are referring to? Flight Deck Solutions is probably one of the more advanced for a custom home built cockpit, and does this on a professional level -- if my memory serves me right, they either use PM or have their own software similar to that of Project Magenta, that works exclusively with the hardware FDS sells you.You can find more shots of the hardware here: http://www.flightdecksolutions.com/view_page.php?id=76
  14. Who says you can't play without sounds? That autta do it! :(
  15. Performance is far too hard to predict. The JS or MD-11 perform differently depending on a users hardware setup, addons, how they configured FSX, what tweaks they have done, and what they have running in the background on said computer. Each plane will effect performance differently based on these points, so they really cannot even give a ballpark estimate, as it will most likely be wrong for SOMEONE (and that someone will complain to no end no doubt :(). There are just far too many factors to weigh in on to give any answer that has any value.I could easily tell you it will only impact your FPS by about 5-10 -- but the impact depends specifically on how you look at it -- Default scenery? Are sliders at min or max? Do you have SB4 and Active Sky Running? Do you have any Mesh textures? Do you have an anti-virus turned on affecting performance? Do you have a GTS250 or a GTX285?As said in many tweaking guides, and is a favorite amongst most developers and FSX Fans, Your Millage May Vary
  16. Pre-911 I think I'd die from laughter if I was on that plane.
  17. I notice that when I do flights, when in the VC view, at night, and with the DOME light on, the upper screen will start flickering a bit. It's almost like a shadow across the top of my texture (where the ceiling would be). I also notice that during the day, left middle of my screen under the window will do something similar.Has anyone had this problem and does anyone know a fix?
