odd goings on with FS2004 AND FS2002

Featured Replies

I have both on my system although on different drives and have noticed a strange occurence.I rarely use FS2002 but on clicking on FS2002 to execute it I get a message "wait while a new database is created" this happens even when I havent added scenery. The strange thing is that having used FS2004 with a clean startup on every occasion when I have opened FS2002 the next time I use FS2004 same message comes up in FS2004. Again no scenery added. Any ideas and are there any other cross problems holding FS2002 and FS2004 together?Peter

Ummm

Speaking of AFCAD and FS9 and wierd things. I was flying about in FS9 and paused it to quickly go into AFCAD to check out an airport.I must have clicked something in the AFCAD program becos when closing it asked me to save airport - ok so i click save and then the familiar message "you have to close FS to make changes work.. blabla"So it had a way of knowing a totally different folder used SOME bgl files.

Peter,Check the registry key entry for FS9. In my case, the FS installer for FS9 screwed up the registry entry for FS2002 location. It had both FS9 and FS2002 directed to C/programs/microsoft games/FS9. I changed the entry for FS2002 back to the correct location and it fixed a couple of errors I was getting. From Tim W:"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMICROSOFTMICROSOFT GAMESFLIGHT SIMULATOR8.0On the right side under EXE path make sure it reads the correct location for your FS2002, If not, right click on EXE path, choose "modify" and enter the correct location. This fixed the problem for me."Hope this helps.BobP :)
