July 27, 200322 yr Still haven't purchased my copy yet so here are two questions about which I'm really curious, concerning IFR/ATC:Does ATC "step you up" in altitude rather than (as in FS2002) simply directly clear you to your FL with no intermediate altitudes. Are speed reduction instructions given by ATC when on approach, i.e. "Learjet N700VC reduce speed to one six zero" In FS2002, no such instructions were provided. Thanks.Bob
July 27, 200322 yr Author Yes ATC steps (actually one step) you up after departure, but its not done correctly. EG they clear you to 10,000 ft and as you are 100-200 feet from there starting to level off you get final clearance to cruise. Would love to see this at least 500 ft or more before reaching initial assigned altitude. This has happened on all 5 IFR departures so far. I cant say if traffic plays a part with this or just a MS thing. No airspeed reductions as far as I see on approach. Maybe I will exceed speeds and see if I get yelled at.Bill
