February 7, 201016 yr Hi,In AS, force the Primary server and that should help. The secondary server is one hour behind due to some issues earlier in the week.
February 8, 201016 yr Author Apparently settings in FSUIPC are normal. Indeed, for the first half an hour or so of the flight, the winds were displaying accordingly to the reports. Then they dropped to around 17-20 knots, stayed there for a long time, came back up to 65 knots for just some minutes, and finally dropped again to the same low speed winds. I don
February 9, 201016 yr Author Just to add another info, the weather settings in FS reflect the correct wind as per the reports, so apparently AS is sending the correct information into FS, but it
February 10, 201016 yr Hi,Anything else FS related running? Are you reading this from a panel or from the Shift/Z display in FS?
February 10, 201016 yr Author Yes, I was running Squawkbox 3 as well, as I always do... I imagined that maybe SB3
February 11, 201016 yr Author Ok, I did some testing, nothing else FS related running, using another panel and reading the winds with Shift+Z. Cruise winds were spot on for some time, then, after a station change, I started to get weird results:This is the report from ASV6.5 and the data coming from the weather settings at FS for FL390, both matchingAnd this is what I have in flightOnce again, the wind direction is correct, given the true/magnetic variation, but the wind speed is much lower than expected. I did some flights out of other airports, with similar results. I
February 11, 201016 yr Hi,Make sure that SB is not running.Re-set FSUIPC to default settings and weather settings Off.
February 22, 201016 yr Author Hi,I did some testing on this issue recently while flying, and found out that, apparently, it only applies for the highest wind layer at FL390, so things start to become erratic from FL370 upwards. But whenever I start a climb or descend, wind speed immediately increases to the correct value. Do you think ASA would fix this or it
