  1. This has been discussed many times before but I´m still unable to find a concrete solution...I´m having sound pops all over the place on lots of different aircraft. They come in randomly, on some flights the sound is crystal clear, but on some other times the pops appear. But when they come, it´s in specific time intervals, like a loop. An interesting fact is that the pops can be heard just from the left channel of the stereo spectrum, normally the right channel is clear. If anyone has any suggestions, it will be much appreciatedMarcelo Torres
  2. Paul, thanks for your advice but the plane doesn´t work properly without FSUIPC... panel is completely black and virtual cockpit corrupted
  3. Ok, I´ve been having this supposed "problem" for a while now, and even after doing lots of testing, I´m still unable to track its cause. I run FS9.1 on Windows 7, a clean install on its own directory outside Program Files and running as admin, following many recommendations. FSUIPC settings are standard. On any flight, over any region of the world and through any weather conditions (including, most notably, clear weather with absolutely no winds, as set via FS and FSUIPC) the MD-11 will constantly deviate slightly from the flight plan track (generally 0.1nm to the left or right) and then produce a noticeable turn of about 5º bank angle to reintercept. It will then fly straight and level for a couple of minutes and do everything again. As I said, this happens at about every 5 minutes interval, during the whole flight as long as NAV is engaged. Again, it happens even with zero wind conditions. I´ve logged lots of MD-11 hours on an old Windows XP system and never noticed this annoying behaviour. From my testings, I concluded that it´s apparently not influenced by weather (as it happens in clear weather), scenery (clean FS installation), FS startup (default flight is a C182 with engines off), navdata (many AIRAC cycles have been tested), registry (FS Registry Repair was tested), operating system and hardware (same behavior on two different computers with W7 64 and Vista 32, although it ran fine on XP as long as I can remember; same behaviour with or without a joystick).I think I ran out of options on how to determine the cause, but I´m still reluctant to believe it´s normal behaviour of the plane. I´ve attached a picture of the supposed issue, highlighting the deviation from the track and the abscense of winds. Any suggestions will be appreciated.Sorry for the long post, but that´s just because I really love this plane. Thanks!Marcelo Torres
  4. Dan and Ron,Thank you very much for your inputs, but unfortunately the issue still persists even after creating a cold and dark default flight. I´ll try to have access to a Windows XP system to check if this issue is related to Windows 7, as I really don´t remember having this problem on XP. If anyone else has a potential solution, feel free to write it down here. Thanks again!!!Marcelo Torres
  5. Hi!Lately I´ve been experiencing some lateral oscillations with PMDG planes which are apparently unrelated to weather shifts. The 737 at high altitude does a slight but constant left and right banking, like it´s trying to chase the route but overshoots it and tries to go back, and so on. The MD-11 stays on track, but every 5 minutes or so it does a pair of noticeable left-right 5 degree banks, stabilizes, and then does it again. All of this has been observed in FS9 and FSX on Windows 7 64, clean installs, clear weather with no winds, just running PMDG planes with latest updates and a registered version of FSUIPC. This is not the discussed S-turn issue cause the banking is limited to something like 5 degrees, but it still looks unreal to me, especially in no wind situations. I really don´t recall seeing this on my old Windows XP system, especially because it´s fairly noticeable. So, anyone has experienced this before and came with a solution, or is this really a normal behaviour for those planes? Thanks!!!Marcelo Torres
  6. Hi!I know that this topic has been discussed many times, but like lots of people I
  7. Hi,I did some testing on this issue recently while flying, and found out that, apparently, it only applies for the highest wind layer at FL390, so things start to become erratic from FL370 upwards. But whenever I start a climb or descend, wind speed immediately increases to the correct value. Do you think ASA would fix this or it
  8. Ok, I did some testing, nothing else FS related running, using another panel and reading the winds with Shift+Z. Cruise winds were spot on for some time, then, after a station change, I started to get weird results:This is the report from ASV6.5 and the data coming from the weather settings at FS for FL390, both matchingAnd this is what I have in flightOnce again, the wind direction is correct, given the true/magnetic variation, but the wind speed is much lower than expected. I did some flights out of other airports, with similar results. I
  9. Yes, I was running Squawkbox 3 as well, as I always do... I imagined that maybe SB3
  10. Just to add another info, the weather settings in FS reflect the correct wind as per the reports, so apparently AS is sending the correct information into FS, but it
  11. Apparently settings in FSUIPC are normal. Indeed, for the first half an hour or so of the flight, the winds were displaying accordingly to the reports. Then they dropped to around 17-20 knots, stayed there for a long time, came back up to 65 knots for just some minutes, and finally dropped again to the same low speed winds. I don
  12. I was using AS6.5 for the whole flight. I can
  13. First of all I have to say thank you for this wonderful simulation... I
