New build - GPU question

Featured Replies

Hi there. I'm planning on building a new system sometime soon and was wondering wether or not to upgrade my current XFX 9800GT XXX to a ATI HD5850 or wait till the new Nvidia cards come out. The rest of the system is based on a Core i5 750 which will probably be OC'd and 4 gig of ddr3 1600Mhz RAM. What do you guys think???

Sorry, forgot to say, I'll be using FSX on this system.

Your current video card should do fine. A good heatsink/fan and overclocking the i5 750 is going to give you more boost than a video upgrade.

Use what you got until Fermi is out with reviews and the answer to your question will become more clear.
