From the limited things that I have read I think that typical salaries for pilots are as follows (in the U.S.):Average regional pilot: $35,000 - $55,000Average domestic pilot: $85,000 - $125,000Average international pilot: $125,000 - $250,000+These are off the top of my head, but I am pretty confident.

B1900,Seriously man, isn't it unbelievable how the regionals pay their new hire pilots peanuts? I think starting pay is like $17,500 a year. It only goes up significantly if you upgrade to Captain or something. My room mate throws bags for P.S.A. (part of your family, no doubt :-)) and he heard jokes about the pilots applying for foodstamps there :-).Take care,-C.J. Starr

A friend of mine is a B1900 captain and barely broke $24k last year. As long as pilots will work for $17k a year, that's what airlines are going to pay.

A good place to lool for current salaries for different jobs is www.salary.comHowever, their pay scale for CFI's is laughable. Granted, the indicate it is not for those CFI's that work at local airports.
