Logo Lights

Recommended Posts

Hi; I have downloaded and installed this file emidc10.zip from flightsim, could not find it here. When the landing lights are off on this aircraft the logo remains lit. However when using other DC 10-30 repaints for this SGA model this does not occur. Does anyone know why this is and whether there is a way to make the logo light stay on with other repaints. Thanks

Hello,Will test it !Anyways I can already assume it's not a texture (repaint problem)Are you sure you add only texture for the exact same model (it's different models from SGA for this particular aircraft)Edited:If you check the aircraft.cfgyou read for the air file:sim=FFXDC1030ERSo you must have exactly the same with the texture you add (in the TXT from the texture to add in the aircraft.cfg)On a other hand:If you check the files in the model folder you readsga1030f.mdlSo you must be sure the additional texture is for a F model !This is a sample of a repaint no good for your aircraft ....

[fltsim.0]title=SGA DC 10-30 Taesasim=FFXDC1030model=30panel=sound=texture=Taesakb_checklists=kb_reference=ui_manufacturer=SGA McDonnell Douglasui_type=DC 10-30ui_variation=Taesavisual_damage=0description=Model by SGA, Repaint by Eduardo Villanueva/Aircraft Repainting Teamatc_heavy=1atc_id=XA-SYEatc_airline=Taesaatc_flight_number=50
You can check all this easy in each addon textures simply by clik "view" in Flightsim library or clik Zipdrive in the Avsim library ..BTW in the Emirate aircraft.cfg it's a small error .. as it's 2 entries for the smoke chapter .. so better delete one !Second editIf you check the SGA DC-10 base pack:
FS2004 (ACOF) - FS2004 JetlinersFS2004 SGA DC10 Series 30 Base Pack[ Download | View ]Name: sga1030.zip Size: 13,005,735 Date: 04-14-2004 Downloads: 23,485FS2004 SGA DC10 Series 30 Base Pack. In the tradition and spirit of excelling with Flight Simulator add-ons, SGA is proud to offer an update to the Douglas DC-10-30 aircraft, taking advantage of all the latest features that Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight has to offer. In this package you will find a newly compiled model, offering new "Dynamic Flexing Wings", which are affected by the current phase of flight and atmospheric conditions. This means you will see the wings flex up during takeoff, flex up and down when encountering turbulence in-flight, and if you decide to land the aircraft hard, watch the wings bounce! Look for this feature and others while enjoying the new model. Also with the assistance of a real world DC10 pilot the flight dynamics have been updated to realistically represent the aircraft to a better degree than ever before. If you have DC10-30 charts, then feel free to use them by the numbers.
You will not seen the same files for models and air files of your complete Emirate aircraft.So .. maybe those files are modified ones (normally not the model file) by the author as he don't use the standard SGA naming for the model and air file !!!So actually I don't find repaint with the exact names for model and air files like the one of the Emirate.Maybe you can test by renaming the strings in the aircraft.cfg txt of the repaints ... ?Regards.bye.gifGus.

Hello,I modified the aircraft.cfg for the Wester repaint like this:

[fltsim.1]title=SGA DC-10-30 Westernsim=FFXDC1030ERmodel=panel=sound=texture=westernchecklists=kb_checklists=kb_reference=ui_manufacturer=DC10-30Fui_type=DC-10-30ui_variation=Westernvisual_damage=0description=Model by SGA, Western repaint by Frank Idone.\nThe Series 30 offered considerably improved payload and range capability with increased fuel capacity and thrust, which necessitated an increase of 10 feet in wingspan and the addition of a center main landing gear assembly. Most popular of all the variants, a total of 206 Series 30s were built, including 27 -30CFs, 4 extended range -30ERs, and 12 pure freighter -30Fs. Unlike the Series 10, most -30s were ordered without the optional lower deck galley to allowed increased cargo capacity. First revenue flight for a Series 30ER was on December 15, 1972 with Swissair. The Series 30CF (Convertible Freighter) was first certified in March 1973 and placed into revenue service in April 1973.atc_id=N821Latc_airline=XXXatc_flight_number=104atc_heavy=1atc_parking_types=GATE //GATE, RAMP, CARGO etc.atc_parking_codes=UAL //UAL, AAL etc
