August 1, 200322 yr Author Commercial Member Hi Paragon,By going to Central America and flying. If it's working you'll see the difference in the terrain. If the dem76m_centralamerica.bgl file is found in your sceneryworldscenery folder, it's working.-------Justinhttp://www.fsgenesis.netHigh Quality Scenery for FS200x ________________ Justin - Toposim http://www.toposim.net
August 1, 200322 yr Hi Justin,Okay I went flying in central american just now. Just to get this straight, I'm kinda new to FS, this alters how the mountains are displayed/formed, not how they look, ie the "texture"?
August 1, 200322 yr Hi Paragon, YOu are correct. Remember those little HO model railroad layouts of the small communities? They are made up of 4 layersMESH -- Chicken wire to form the hills and valleysLANDCLASS -- What kind of area; the woods, farms, towns, deserts, etc.SCENERY TYPE 1 -- What do the various areas look like in various seasons - hedge rows, colors of fields, etc.SCENERY TYPE 2 -- detailed stuff like buildings, trees, static vehicles, lamp posts, people, etcAll of these are presentin the default FS2002 and 2004. BUt all can be significantly improved with 3rd party add-ons like FSGenesis, FSLandClass, FScenery 2 and all the various individuals busily making interesting local scenery.Racartronit means something, but I just can't remember what
August 1, 200322 yr Author Commercial Member HI Paragon,Yes, terrain is the "shape" of the ground. Landclass is the patterns and colors on that shape. But, racarton's analogy is a good one, too.-------Justinhttp://www.fsgenesis.netHigh Quality Scenery for FS200x ________________ Justin - Toposim http://www.toposim.net
