March 22, 201016 yr I recently purchased a refurbished Dell GX620 computer with a 3.6 Gig Intel processor and Intel integrated graphics. I went from an old Gateway Win 98SE OS to the new (at least to me) XP pro OS. I'm now getting frame rates as high as 55 with the average at around 28-30 with all sliders almost at full max right. My problem is that for some reason I have almost no braking power for any aircraft I fly. I use Pro Pedals and they always worked very good in Win98SE. Yesterday I made a very good landing on 27R at KORD and even with full thrust reversers on I still overran that long runway. I don't have the program I think it was called "FUSPIC" or something like that. I used to have it on FS2002 but never did put it on the FS9 program on the old OS.Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to cure my problem?Buzz Jameson
March 22, 201016 yr You probably do need to install a newish version of FSUIPC. A lot of FS stuff is dependent on it. The standard version is free, but you can buy a registered version of it which makes calibrating joysticks and stuff a lot better, it also adds a lot of other good stuff to FS when you have a registered version, such as icing effects and all that kind of thing. You can get more info on FSUIPC here: http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html - and you can buy it from Simmarket.com via a link on that web page, but be aware that there are different versions of it for different version of FS, so make sure you click on the right link on the FSUIPC page. The free version will probably do the job, but it is worth buying the full on version at some point. You may also want to check out TSR Autobrake too, which will allow a lot of braking customisation for FS: http://secure.simmarket.com/aerosoft-onlin...autobrake.phtmlTSR Autobrake is a bit 'hard core', but it does add a lot to FS in terms of making landings a lot more realistic in crappy weather. Note that you can only get all the features in TSR to work if you have a fully registered version of FSUIPC!Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

I purchased the registered version and am impressed with all the various things that you can do with the program. I don't understand it all and I wish there was some sort of tutorial that came with it. Guess I'll just have to hunt and peck until I can teach myself what works and what doesn't.
March 23, 201016 yr Hello, I don't understand it all and I wish there was some sort of tutorial that came with itAFAIK it's a help file provided with FSUIPC containing description of all the options. If not enough feel free to post at the FSUIPC forum.http://forums.simflight.com/viewforum.php?f=54Regards.Gus.
March 23, 201016 yr Keep in mind that the legendary Pete Dowson, who is responsible for FSUIPC is actually frequently to be found on Avsim, and a nice chap he is too, so if you really ever had problems with it, I daresay he would answer questions. There is actually a manual in the folder FSUIPC installs to which tells you most of what you need to know, and there are also a few tutorials kicking around on the net for FSUIPC, here is one for example: http://fsuipc.simflight.com/beta/SIMSAMURA...PC+TUTORIAL.pdfAl Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
