hi all,I wanted to post my frustration with ASE, so what better place, right? :(So here are my downsides:1- While on (station to station mode) the winds aloft never get stronger than 25kts, as soon as i switch to global mode i get real speed for aloft.2- In global mode My VOX ATC don't display any AI traffic and goes nuts with the selection of active runways.3- On departures the winds are always correct, but when i arrive at an airport the winds there (shift+z) is rarely the same as mentioned in the report screen of ASE. And yes i have the rate of change at 0%. when i say different i'm talking about huges differences.So i'm hoping for some corrections soon, as for now it's pretty nuch useless, at least for me.But i have to say the weather inside FSX has never been so good looking and real. Too bad it's so unpredictable.Kind regards,Carlos

One thing I have found Carlos is not to set the rate of change to 0, leave it at 30. I had this problem when first got ASE, my destination weather would not be correct at all infact it would be the exact same conditions as my departure. Don't use DWC and set the rate of change to 30 and try it out to see if that helps.

Here are my exact settings Carlos you can set it up the same way and test it out. One thing about the force destination is you have to have processed a flight plan. Also do you have fsuipc, I use it for wind smoothing my setting in the winds options is 3 knots or degrees per second My ASE settings are as follows (I turn off all wind shear and thermals settings not good for PMDG aircraft, which is what I fly)General OptionsForce Dest x Zone(flight plan must be processed)Force high priority updatesAutomatic downloads 20 min (No Vatsim Weather checked)Depict hurricanesCreate additional stationEnhance route coverageDynamic rate of Change 30Cloud OptionsEvery thing at default settings except.....CAVOK = 0No Data Cloud = 0Cirrus = 1%Wind OptionsEverything is at 0 except Maximum Surface Wind it = 100Disable Winds Aloft Box emptyEnable Direct Wind Control Box emptyVisibility OptionsFog Layer Generation Box CheckedDisable Haze Layer Box CheckedMin Surface 0Max Surface 100Max Upper 100Thats it, and ASE is working pretty good, some problems now and then, but overall pretty good. Try these settings and see what you think, then you can start to adjust things if there not working out for you.
