March 25, 201016 yr Is it possible to save weather generated with FSX own custom weather tool? Cannot find any "Save" buttons. Addons like ORBX PNW however add custom weather options. How can I do that?Rob
March 25, 201016 yr That's a good question. They should have let you create and save weather themes. This is one of the reasons ASE is necessary. The only way to save custom weather within FSX is to save the flight with the desired weather. You can then select this flight with the defined weather and change location, time, aircraft as desired. You can only load saved flights and not edit them. So you would have to load the flight and only then you can change the location, time etc. To make things worse you can't do those things in one go either... If you want to select a flight and edit it, you need addons: FSX itself can't do that.

It's really hard to understand why Microsoft didn't include an option to save weather themes. This isn't the only thing making an addon weather engine a big plus. Art
