April 8, 201016 yr For FSX: I was wondering if there was a way to package a repaint for others in which the aircraft description is also included. I know this can be done after the repaint installation by a simple edit of the aircraft.cfg file. I was wondering if there was a way for the installer to do this automatically rather than include a text file for the user to cut and paste into the aircraft.cfg file.

The Flight1 FSX Repaint Manager The Flight1 FSX Repaint Manager is fairly straightforward in that it is simply a repackager and installer for aircraft liveries and aircraft.cfg entries. It will automatically install your aircraft, create folders, and make necessary aircraft.cfg entries.Flight1's FSX Repaint Manager will allow you to easily package and install almost any repaint for FSX. It even works for non-Flight1 products also! If you are a repainter, simply use this tool to package and distribute your repaint. If you are an end user, you simply use this tool to install the repaint using just a few mouse clicks. It is designed to work universally with almost any aircraft. The repaint manager installer can also be redistributed with your repaints or products.http://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=libraryLeenPSI just "Googled" repaint manager FSX ......................and BINGO there it was.Estimated time for the whole procedure 10 seconds opening IE included.
April 9, 201016 yr Author ...It will automatically install your aircraft, create folders, and make necessary aircraft.cfg entries. Thanks for the response. Actually this is precisely the software I am using. But you mention it makes "necessary aircraft.cfg entries", and I don't see that. It would be great if it did. Am I missing something?

April 15, 201016 yr Author OK - I figured this one out finally. I am posting here for the benefit of some other poor chap who may be searching for a similar solution in the year 2014. Hopefully for them the following link will still be functional:http://davenunez.wordpress.com/2008/09/09/...-aircrafttweak/If the link above is dead, They could try googling "Dave Nunez" and "repaint". Additional terms to google: "AircraftTweak", "ClickTeam", "Install Creator". In a nutshell, you package the repaint with an exe file called AircraftTweak - AircraftTweak will load the aircraft information into aircraft.cfg exactly the way you want it. Install Creator is a neat little program (like AircraftTweak, it's free) and really allows you to deliver your repaint with those extra capabilities and a bit of style.
April 17, 201016 yr Thanks for letting us know, this might be a very good alternative.RegardsLeen de JagerBTWDid you contact Flight1 and how did they respond?
