Another question about the USS Saratoga scenery file

Recommended Posts

Guest Erin

If I'm violating protocol with so many questions please excuse me, sure don't mean to be a pain. I've been playing with the USS Saratoga I asked about earlier and have the hang of relocating it, but the carrier deck does not relocate when I do it, I can't land or take off but I can in the version David did for me. I just fall through the model and hit the water. I've gone through our xml files line by line and don't see anything different between the ones I modify and David's and the original file, but I can land on David's and the original versions but not mine so obviously I'm missing something. Here's one I moved but the deck did not go with it. If anyone can tell me what I'm missing I sure would appreciate it (I don't want to abuse David's help.) In Paul's base xml, the deck etc. is 15 meters higher than the carrier and wake objects elevation. Did you factor that in when you edited those spots in the xml for the new location?I believe you have 94.01 as the "objects" elevation so add 15 to that figure for the other items and see if that solves the problem.

That was it. There are 3 changes at the bottom of the file to make. Thank you again for your time, sir.<end topic>
