April 23, 201016 yr Dear Simmers,I trust this post finds you in the best of health. I would like to ask you a question regarding the fs9 horizon. I'm using REX sky texture and my sight distance in fs9 options is set to 30 m.Attached please find 2 pics of what i'm talking about.Do you think that it is a Graphic card problem or maybe the sky texture is originally like that? Also has it something to do with FSUIPC settings? if so what is the best to do in my situation. Many ThanksJustin
April 23, 201016 yr What you're seeing is the haze layer. It's perfectly normal. Also your horizon is too well defined. There are a number of ways to deal with the haze layer. Most weather engines need to have it active in order to depict the clouds correctly. However, some modified cloud sets create a haze layer that moves in tandem with your a/c. In the avsim library there is fs9envis.zip which is very good or you can also search for hdev2.zip which are the free clouds made by Pablo Diaz. His haze layer is transparent. To create a better horizon look for softhr07.zip.Always remember that if you set your visibility too far you will see the dreaded FS9 cross!vololiberista Super VC10 into LOWI with PF3 at a cinema near you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=298UDyNmgUA
