  1. Hi Guys, Managed to escape from hospital after more than 6 weeks. I had to be wheelchaired to the bathroom less than 3 metres away. I'm still not 100% but hopefully I can resume work in the forthcoming days. I still have two major operations scheduled for July but I'll try to get everything uploaded before then. Also there is a problem with the lan requiring a new card before any uploads can be done. There only remains a page or two for the manual to be done. And get this, for engine restarts you will have to recycle the series switches to clear the circuits of any residual current before reconnecting the generators. That's as real as it gets.
  2. Even if the updates stop there is always Facility Editor for FS9. This allows you to put in missing waypoints etc., that FS9 doesn't know about. https://library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=facility+editor&CatID=root&Go=Search
  3. Until the AI engine is completely rebuilt what you wish for is extremely difficult to achieve witn consistency.
  4. I'm not aware that PF3 is in beta! That was a looooooooooooooooooooong time ago. And I'm also not aware of having to, having been forced as you say to include the signature. The beta test team is always active as we test new ideas and suggest corrections to the main programme. Thus making sure that PF3 is never behind. PF3 itself as I said is not beta.
  5. Still a few bits and bobs all minor. But, I have not been well and have upcoming surgery which may intervene depending on how I feel. If all goes well I will upload to avsim in a week or two.
  6. NUMBER_ROLL_6.bmp just refers to the image file. It is a strip usualy vertical with a black background and the respective numbers in white. The coding then points to the relevant number on the strip.
  7. This might get you in the right direction //--------------------COM------------------------------- <Element> <Position X="0" Y="0"/> <MaskImage Name="COM_NAV_MASK.bmp" ImageSizes="252,150"> <Axis X="50" Y="24"/> </MaskImage> <Image Name="NUMBER_ROLL_6.bmp" ImageSizes="11,153" Luminous="1"> <Axis X="0" Y="139"/> </Image> <Shift> <Value>(A:COM1 ACTIVE FREQUENCY,MHz) 100 * 1000 / 10 % flr</Value> <Nonlinearity> <Item Value="0" X="0" Y="0"/> <Item Value="10" X="0" Y="139"/> </Nonlinearity> </Shift> </Element> <Element> <Position X="0" Y="0"/> <MaskImage Name="COM_NAV_MASK.bmp" ImageSizes="252,150"> <Axis X="62" Y="24"/> </MaskImage> <Image Name="NUMBER_ROLL_6.bmp" ImageSizes="11,153" Luminous="1"> <Axis X="0" Y="139"/> </Image> <Shift> <Value>(A:COM1 ACTIVE FREQUENCY,MHz) 100 * 100 / 10 % flr</Value> <Nonlinearity> <Item Value="0" X="0" Y="0"/> <Item Value="10" X="0" Y="139"/> </Nonlinearity> </Shift> </Element> <Element> <Position X="0" Y="0"/> <MaskImage Name="COM_NAV_MASK.bmp" ImageSizes="252,150"> <Axis X="74" Y="24"/> </MaskImage> <Image Name="NUMBER_ROLL_7.bmp" ImageSizes="17,153" Luminous="1"> <Axis X="0" Y="139"/> </Image> <Shift> <Value>(A:COM1 ACTIVE FREQUENCY,MHz) 0.001 + 100 * 10 / 10 % flr</Value> <Nonlinearity> <Item Value="0" X="0" Y="0"/> <Item Value="10" X="0" Y="139"/> </Nonlinearity> </Shift> </Element> <Element> <Position X="0" Y="0"/> <MaskImage Name="COM_NAV_MASK.bmp" ImageSizes="252,150"> <Axis X="92" Y="24"/> </MaskImage> <Image Name="NUMBER_ROLL_6.bmp" ImageSizes="11,153" Luminous="1"> <Axis X="0" Y="139"/> </Image> <Shift> <Value>(A:COM1 ACTIVE FREQUENCY,MHz) 0.001 + 100 * 10 % flr</Value> <Nonlinearity> <Item Value="0" X="0" Y="0"/> <Item Value="10" X="0" Y="139"/> </Nonlinearity> </Shift> </Element>
  8. I certainly would not fly with you in real life I'm afraid. Rule no.1 you don't go anywhere near a thunderstorm period! Stay away at least 20nm . Apart from the the basic common sense rule you would need to adjust your settings to create a bit less turbulence. That said, question yourself why you were flying in such dangerous conditions. Yes it's a sim and you won't kill yourself but nevertheless.............
  9. That is a somewhat irrelevant question. P3D costs what it costs. If you only want to "play" at flightsimming then it's not for you.
  10. You mean like the Royal Air Force that used MS ESP in their simulators and now are converting to P3D. Oh, and you can use the very same simulator on your home desk top. Isn't that good enough?
  11. The logs contain a lot more information that you have provided here. And yes, the majority of the time it is down to user error. Not reading the manual, confusing hotkey presses, not pressing any key at all etc. So without the logs the beta team and the developer rightly cannot give an opinion. If you have any problems with PF3 they should be reported on the PF3 forum and not here on avsim. No support or advice will be given here. Only on the PF3 forum.
  12. What you have written here misses out everything that you may not have done that you should so recreate the flight exactly and post the logs in the PF3 forum. Only then can we determine what has gone wrong whether it is user error or a bug. PF3 is an extensive programme with a high learning curve especially if you are not familiar with ATC. Real ATC is even harder as the RT exam here requires a 100% pass otherwise your pilot training is terminated. That would not be a good day. Avsim should not be used for PF3 queries.
  13. It doesn't matter what kind of ATC you use real or otherwise. It is different to the FMC. ATC have no idea at all what you have put into your FMC nor do they care. They are concerned only with safe separation etc. Your FMC is in effect an aide memoire to tell you the best point to descend etc from an economy point of view. It does not tell ATC nor do ATC ask it. If it is essential that you start your descent when the FMC says so then the real procedure is that you ask ATC for descent clearance. Otherwise you have to wait until they give it. PF3 has an instruction "at your discretion" which allows you to start your descent when you wish provided that you meet any further altitude constraints. If ATC ask you to descend before your TOD then you need to comply as they know something that your FMC doesn't. The only time you would need to rely on your FMC is if you have radio failure. When constructing a "real" fpl you can put in it cruise celings etc to be at x by a certain point. However, you are allowed only to put in whole degrees say 44N 007W thus giving ATC a 60nm window which is not the same as the FMC.
  14. You would put the mouse over the tiller!! And as you move the mousewheel the tiller moves. Modern technology you know!!!
