Anyone has any experience with the i7 860 or the i7 930 processor for FSX? I am planning to put together a new system. Any great advantage using i7 930 over 860, given the following. I7 860 is dual channel, whereas 930 is Tri channel. 930 is the new i* processor range (2010). Uses newer technology. A faster processor overall than the 860. Has quicker response times, and uses technology 860 doesn't have.

The 930 is faster, but it uses the same old technology as the 920, and is *not* part of the Core i 2010 lineup as it uses the old 45nm manufacturing technology and is still based on the Bloomfield core. The 930 has more memory bandwidth (assuming you run the appropriate number of DIMMs) and should be more overclockable than the 860. Given the choice between the two for FSX, I would choose the 930.
