"Jesus", help with 2 nagging FSX issues

Featured Replies

Nvidia seems to have a couple problems that have never gone away with any driver update. PMDG 747X, when switching views, sometimes the virtual cockpit gauges "freeze" and the only way to fix is to cycle the A key and/or switch views again. Also the dome light is too bright and texture flashes around the virtual cockpit are annoying. Any idea what settings might adjust both? Thanks!

David,That's model stuff as far as the dome lighting and whatnot, it's an older product and we didn't have the techniques we do now... the view switching freeze thing is not something I'm specifically aware of, never seen it myself here.

Thanks Ryan. one more thing, when switching views I get what sounds like the APU, or loud engines. The sound only goes away when I move the throttles up to around 70% and back down. Strange. Not sure why it does this but it gets annoying. Say I pull into the gate, turn off the engines. Press S to go to the external view, look around, then S again and come back to the virtual cockpit, the mysterious sound is heard. I have to start the engines, throttle up, and the sound goes away, until I switch views again... Any suggestions?
