Hello Ed,You can follow activities on this web page; http://www.nyartcc.org/In VATSIM, generally almost all controllers gives service in their local evening times by countires where living. So you can see much more activity evening times of EST in USA. Weekends, except friday nights :)) ATC counts increasing in whole day hours. Even we Europeans , can see ATC servis around day times.Check the NYARTCC web page and if you wish you can contact them for getting for more informaiton.have a nice flights

Thanks for the reply.The reason I was asking is because I like to fly real routes and I'm planning a flight (recently shut down) from SKBQ (Barranquilla, Colombia) to JFK. The flight is almost 5 hours long so I was thinking on planning my departure time so I would arrive at JFK at the time several controllers are online.
