FSMeteo 6.01 Question

What is the third METAR display window used for (the one with the scrollbar)? Is that for reporting the current conditions in the sim due to changes made by FS2K4's dynamic weather?

Although Marc's documentation is not very clear I think the thrid window is the TAF for the local station.Just checked and it is the TAF.Current readings in my FS Meteo are KSEA 052156Z 24009KT 10SM SCT028 BKN060 BKN110 OVC180 19/15 A2999 RMK AO2 RAE42 In the third window KSEA 051902Z 051918 26007KT P6SM FEW050 SCT150 OVC200 FM2200 23010KT P6SM BKN050 BKN150 FM0500 19012KT P6SM BKN030 BKN070 PROB30 0612 -SHRA FM1200 19008KT P6SM OVC020 FM1700 19008KT P6SM SCT030 OVC080So the METAR was recorded at 2156UTC on the 5th.The TAF was recorded at 1902UTC on the 5th and gives weather forecastsFrom 2200 (5th), 0500, 1200 & 1700 UTC on the 6th.HTH

Curious. I imagine they are provided solely for informational purposes then?

I doubt it. If you are using downloaded wx in the offline mode, the TAF will start to influence the wx you see in FS after a given period of time. Glenn
