Help with Scenery config error!

I'm getting a message in FSX when I start it that says "Scenery Cfg File Error. Invalid Remote scenery path in Scenery Area.138. Click OK to continue."What's that all about, and how do I correct it? Thank you.Stan

You evidently deleted some scenery or moved addon scenery to another location and FSX can no longer find it. For instance, you might have moved a MegaScenery to another directory or drive and didn't make the move in the Scenery Library. To find out what scenery is involved, you should open up the scenery.cfg located in C:/ProgramData/Microsoft/FSX/. You can delete area 138 but you should renumber the Areas/Layers sequencially afterwards. You can see the method of numbering once you open the scenery.cfg.Best regards,Jim

Thanks...It was the Leeward Islands scenery. Seems when I tried to install it, it asked me to uninstall it first. That obviously caused the problem. I tried to install it after that, but something didn't mesh, I guess. So, a restore was the only way to eliminate the message when FSX fired up. All is well again, but when I try to install Leeward Islands, it wants to uninstall first again. My scenery cfg. doesn't show it...so that's a strange one.Stan
