Fs9 in Full Screen mode

Featured Replies

Dear Simmers,I would like to ask you a question. I did a fresh install of fs9, and as many of you know,to get out the best of it, it is always recommendable to run the sim in full screen mode ( Antialaising selected in fs + settings from the Nvdia Control panel )So far everything is fine, but when I load Squawkbox, the menu appears on top,but unfortunately the graphics that appear in fs are like as the sim is in windowed mode ( with jaggers ) Is there a setting which I am missing to switch on from somewhere? or a programe which I can download so that i'll be able to have just only fs9 windown in full screen mode but with sbox running at the same time...also do you think it could be a driver issue? I have the latest form NVIDIA though. Can somebody help me? Coz i'm really desperate to start flying online. Many Thanks,JustinMy Specs are Core2Quad 6600, GTX 285 , 500 GB WD , 4 GB RAM, WIN 7 Ultimate 64 Bit.

Is there any technical reason to need Full Screen? You can Auto Hide both the Menu and Task bars and by dragging up the whole thing- almost completely eliminate the main top FS Title Bar. For all Title Bars, change the colour to black with dark green lettering ( or even black letters to really make them disappear). Here's a pic showing the DreamFleet Bonanza in Windowed mode.Alex Reid

Dear Alex,Thanks alot for your quick reply. Well The only main reason why I fly in full screen is because of the graphics. Because when i leave the sim in windowed mode, all I see is jaggers. Basically i have the settings set from the Nvida control panel, with also antiailising on from the fs menu.I used to fly the sim in full screen, and i remember that I used to set everything in squawkbox, then switch to full screen for all the flight ( except when changing freq, i had to go back to windowed mode,so that i'll be able to get the freq)It's very strange, coz i really don't remember how i managed before...For sure the settings from the Nvidia control panel are as they where before I actually formatted the PC.The problem it's like the Squawkbox window is taking over the sim,and it is not letting the NVidia settings taking over fs9. & the strange thing is that when I am in full screen, and I quit squawkbox, the sim flickers and the graphics are back OK ( you can see the difference form windowed to full screen)Do have msn ? maybe i can explain myself better and also send you some pics..I really appreciate your help. Thanks for now.Regards,Justin
